"And what exactly are you doing?"
"To see if we can get any positive matches as to where the Tesseract is."
"Oh... So, shouldn't you be doing something productive in the meantime?"
"Relax, Cap. Let Banner chill. He's been working hard."
"Sorry. I'm just kinda antsy today."
"It's okay, Steve. We're all under a lot of pressure."
"Does anyone know where Goldie Locks is?"
Steve and Bruce both chortled under their breath. Tony had the best jokes for the worst times.
"He's supposed to be in the heli-carrier. Other than that, I have no idea," Steve answered. Bruce was staring at the computer screen, biting his lower lip.
"So, Banner. About this 'other guy'....."
"I'd rather not talk about him."
"Okay.... Any progress on the magic cube, then?"
"No. Nothing yet."
"How do you stay calm?"
"Tony...." Steve warned.
"It's a secret."
"Well, can you share it?"
"Alright," Tony said. He grabbed a pointy metal object and went over to Bruce, who was carefully studying the readings on the computer. Tony poked him in the side with it. Bruce jumped.
"Ow," he laughed. Tony smirked.
"You're going to have to do more than that to get 'him' out," Bruce joked.
"And I wouldn't push it, Stark," Steve noticed Tony about to jab him again.
"Well, did you know that I just electrically shocked him? And he laughed. That's already a sign that that thing inside him is strong," Tony explained. Bruce began gnawing on his bottom lip again. Tony did it again. Bruce jumped and giggled.
"Would ya stop! I'm trying to work," Bruce said between chuckles. He cleared his throat and started typing things into the computer. Tony smiled, and looked at Steve. Captain America rolled his eyes.
"I'm sorry, Banner. I didn't know you were ticklish--"
"You aren't? Or you just don't want to be?"
"I-I... I need to work."
Tony set the pointer down on the table and traced his fingers on Bruce's side. Bruce screamed in surprise and shot his arms down to his sides. Stark smiled triumphantly. Bruce blushed and pushed his glasses further up on his nose. Tony started giggling.
"You're such a child, Stark," Steve said, trying to hide his smile.
"Me, the child? Really? Look who has this weakness!" Tony sneered, pointing at Bruce.
"It's not a weakness.... It's more like a childish disadvantage that I never grew out of."
Tony began laughing. Bruce rolled his eyes and managed a smirk.
"Are you ticklish, Cap?" Tony asked Steve, still looking at Bruce. Bruce was still hard at work on the computer.
"I wouldn't know. I've never been tickled since I was, like, five," Steve cleared his throat, "How about you, Tony?"
Stark froze and his face became stiff and emotionless. Then his cheeks quickly flushed, and he looked down.
"Uh, no. I have never had any weaknesses of any kind actually."
Suddenly, Bruce attacked Tony's sides from behind. Tony screamed and belted out a laugh. He squirmed away from Bruce. Bruce and Steve were laughing.
Just then, a buzzer sounded. Bruce ran back over to the computer as Nick Fury walked in.
"What was that?" he asked.
"We found the Tesseract. Well, not really. We have an idea of where it is, but we don't have the exact location. Just give it a sec--. Wait...."
"What is it, doctor?"
"I-It seems to be on the move. Here," Bruce pointed to a spot on the monitor, "In Frankfurt, Germany."
"Got it. You and you. Let's go," Fury pointed to Tony and Steve. Steve quickly ran out of the room. Fury halted in front of Tony and gave him a strange look.
"What's the matter with you? You're as red as a beet, Stark."
Bruce started laughing. Tony shot him a glare, but then grinned.
"Yeah.... It better be nothing 'cuz we have to go."
Nick Fury walked out of the room. Tony looked back at Bruce.
"We're not finished."
"I'll be waiting," Bruce replied. Tony smirked and ran down the hallway. Bruce shook his head and sighed. He hoped the team was successful, even though deep down he wished he could go with them.
